A New Blog Story, and News About the Book

There’s a new blog story this week, but first Book News:

We’ve been to Texas, to the Sacramento Mile and to Laguna Seca in California. I’m working on setting up appearances in S. California and the Pacific Northwest. Next, however, we will be in the Deep South at the Barber Vintage Festival near Birmingham, Alabama, October 9, 10 and 11. I’ll be signing copies of my book “Racing the Gods.” I don’t know exactly what hours, but we will be somewhere in the Vendor Row at the top of the paddock area. I’ll post more details as they become available.

This week’s story is about the resurgence of the “standard” motorcycle, also known as a naked bike. At one point the standard bike almost disappeared as manufacturers made more tightly-focused niche bikes. It seems the standard motorcycle has made a come-back. See the page WO. The Standards are Back.
